I started the chickadee painting on Sunday night. Next are to put in the leaves and give some definition to the tree I think. I will let it see a few days while I think about it.
It's looking pretty amazing so far. The chickadee especially. I look forward to the finished painting, after you've dome your thinking and your work. Bravo.
I find that, now that I am painting again, I have to have two or three paintings going at once BECAUSE I let them breathe. They seem to tell me what to do next, kind of like writing a story. Your chickadee will undoubtedly tell you what's next. They always do. I look forward to seeing what it tells you to do next. The two things I'm liking most are the colors you've moved to for the background and how you captured that expression... the exact sparkle of the eye from the photograph, while you are interpreting other things with YOUR vision for the painting.
