Worth the 3AM Alarm

I have to say.... It was so worth getting up at 3am to capture this image at Marconi Beach on Cape Cod. It was windy and dark and the surf was roaring... But this image of a dune and stars before sunrise made it all worthwhile. I can't look look at this without being reminded of how great it felt to be out there and feel the darkness and sound envelope me during the minute long exposures I was taking.

That's a great shot. I've only done a shoot like this once, and although I was really annoyed at having to wake up at 2:30 in the morning, it was well worth it--for the pictures and the atmosphere.

It was pretty cool and a little unerving being around the ocean in total darkness. I kept looking over my shoulder. The end result was worth it.
