Minisceongo Creek - Another Visit

The photos of Minisceongo Creek from my previous post made me go back again on Monday morning.  The sunny conditions, spring colors and the slowly moving water in small pools led to the most amazing reflections.  This is why I will photograph the same place several times.  The more you know of a place the better your chances of capturing it at its most beautiful.

Minisceongo Creek - Rockland County NY

On Sunday I headed to Minisceongo Creek to take some photos.  The creek is running a little slow and afforded some great reflections and textures to photograph.  I went back on Monday when it was sunnier and got more great shots, but you'll have to come back to visit tomorrow to see those!

Trout Brook Near the Delaware River - Sullivan County,NY

I thought maybe this exploring trip would be a bust.  All of the spots that looked interesting were posted and had no trespassing signs.  Finally I turned up a dirt road with a brook running along it and about a mile in the signs changed to fishing permitted.  It was a great spot.  I had some difficulty with my camera... but got these shots.

Tomorrow some amazing shots from a small waterfall much closer to home.

'54 Chevy

I went for a wander on Saturday morning and found another old  car to photograph.  This one was a 54' Chevy pick up.  I had a blast taking these pictures.  Tomorrow i will post photos from a trout brook near Ten Mile River.

Old Ford Truck

My muse of late seems to be old cars... I found this one a couple of weeks ago and just got around to editing them.

Hoolihan Creek - Long Eddy, NY

I was scouting new locations about a week ago and found Hoolihan's Creek near Long Eddy, NY.  This is a great little spot.  I will go back here again and follow it along where the road hits the Delaware river.  There is a 40 mile stretch from here to Port Jervis, NY that looks really promising along rt 97.

PS tomorrow - More old cars I found recently.

The Cloisters - 5/11/2012

We picked a beautiful day to go to the Cloisters with Wendy's Mom.  A perfect way to spend the day wandering through the cloistered gardens and seeing the architecture.

Old Roadster

Another stroke of fantastic luck!  I was on my way to photograph one of my favorite waterfalls, when I found this beauty by the side of the road.
