Frost on Leaf

Another favorite image from last year as this weekend looks to be cold and rainy. I may not get out to shoot. If it turns out I can't shoot. I'll head to the studio and start some painting projects. Watercolor has been on a back burner too long anyway.

I may not be able to WRITE my way out of a paper bag, but I know beauty when I see it. Gotta read your wife's blog next. I have a lot of catching up to do in just looking at your work. MAYBE the weather guys will be wrong.

Jeannette - Saying you can't write your way out of a paper bag is plain wrong. Your writing is real and authentic and honest. I admire in it the same beautiful language and honest source as I find in Pat Conroy's writing. It is free of artifice and has wonderful and terrible imagery.

KEEP WRITING. People will find your writing it is that good.

And thanks for liking my photos.

Well. I guess you told ME! And thank you. You and your wonderful wife... One day lunch will be on me, there, bucko.

I will keep writing. I started keeping journals when I was ten. At one time I had 43 of them.

I DID mean that just NOW I am having more trouble with the words, not for all time... but having you compare me to Pat Conroy meant something. I once described my family as "The Prince of Tides," only without the tiger. Thank you.

Wrong place, but I love what you do white waterfalls. Most photos.. I really don't GET that feeling of the motion. Hope you found good places today.

Thanks Jeannette. I'll keep shooting nature (because I have to) and you keep writing. I think everyone one of us can relate to the families in Conroy's books in one way or another. what always take away from reading him is the beauty of the language and imagery in even the bleakest parts of the story.
It's ok for you to have a dryspell in your writing or be in place where you can't write right now, but I think you are going to write some amazing stories. I can't wait to read them.
Today I went out in the rain to shoot. I couldn't help myself. I even stood under a bridge for a while to dry off while the worst of the rain fell. I may have gotten a couple of good shots. I will be downloading and publishing a little later.
