Last of the Dogwoods....

We had Wendy's Mom and my folks today over for brunch.  Afterwards I got out a step ladder and photographed the dogwood flowers in the yard before the edges get browned up too much to be photographable.  What a beautiful day.  I hope you all had a wonderful mother's day!

Fabulous - what else should I expect?

Thanks Dave. I am glad I caught them another couple of days and they would not be good to photograph. My whole garden bloomed while I was in California.

Excellent close-ups....love the third one's purple background made from another flower.....The first one is so fascinating, looks like a windmill...and the centers are all done in great sharp detail....It makes my day to view these, thanks Carl and happy you had a wonderful time in California! I am going to San Francisco this year and I just know I won't be able to breathe after seeing all of its beauty and having the opportunity to photograph it....Thanks for your inspirations, Linda

Dogwood... love them. There really aren't very many around here... there is one in a cemetery that I do stalk every spring... which reminds me, I should go check on it. but, with all this rain it's probably pretty much shot this year!
