It snowed on Saturday and I had planned to get up at first light to shoot the freshly fallen snow, but could not sleep so I went out two hours before sunrise and shot these beauties of the old pump house at Skylands. The exposures were 30 seconds long. I used a flashlight (That's a torch for my friend Dave in England) to paint the front of the building with light and bring out hidden detail in the shadows. I let the wide open shutter do the rest.

Just beautiful!!! I love that pump house. No matter how you shoot it, it comes how great...The colors of the sky are amazing!!!
Thanks Cuz!
Happy Sunday Morning to you!
Beauties indeed! Was it the anticipation that prevented you from sleeping?
Hi Dave. I am not sure exactly why I was not sleeping, I had been away from home for almost three weeks and there was a lot on my mind. Perhaps that we it.
