Butterflies | Oneonta, NY

On my way home from Ithaca Saturday I stopped in at the butterfly conservatory in Oneonta, NY.  My reward for driving the extra distance was several types of butterfly I have not been able to photograph before.  They were very active this visit... probably because it was a nice warm afternoon.  I had to be quick, but got some really nice shots.  I am happy I stopped in for an hour on my journey home.

Tim - Thank You! Welcome. I'll be by to see your blog soon.

Dave - Thanks the second was really quite different. I hope you get a chance to wander thru the posts about Ithaca as well. I had a great morning shooting in Enfield Glen.

All wonderful! Looks like they had some of the "not so regulars" there the day you went!

Hi Vicki - yeah it was well worth the trip out of my way. I also got to shoot at a higher ISO because i was testing new noise software that helps a great deal.
