A Good Day

Did I get everything done I wanted to today? No. But I did get some rest, had lunch with my folks, finished a plumbing repair and finally get the pool ready for use.
As a treat to myself I went out at the end of the day and took a few photos in Harriman State Park. I missed the light I was trying to get by about thirty minutes, but did still manage to get this lovely little photo and found a spot That I would like to shoot at before work tomorrow morning.
All in all this was a good, balanced day.

Superb shot! A satisfying end to a satisfactory day? Hope so.

Nice picture, regardless of how much time the light allowed for you to shoot it. At least you took the opportunity to get something out there.

Sometimes a day like that one is the best sort of day. The things you did probably mattered more than the list of things to get done that was in your head. You spent time with family, fixed something in your home, readied your home for fun, AND paid attention to your art. I was just feeling bad about my day and looked at this--it reminded me that my day was NOT a waste. It simply took a different turn: painting and my blog.
