The first Dogwood blooms of the spring are out in my yard. I always feel like that is the unofficial start of spring! The trees will really start to bloom in the next few days. I'll be ready with my camera.
Thank You Susan! I think it comes from also being a painter. I approach my photos much the same way I would a painting. I look at what is going on in the subject / framing / background to get the image I want.
Carl, I do not think I ever saw images of dogwood blossoms when they are just opening.
Clearly you approach photographs as if they were paintings... there is always something beyond the subject itself in your work, just as there is in your paintings.
