I went to the bridge tonight thinking I might catch the moonrise over the mountain and it would make a great photo. That did not work out, but when I over exposed the scene by about 1 and 1/3 stops I picked up all the ambient light from down river and came away with this beauty instead.
Object Lesson: Always be prepared to take advantage of the unexpected opportunity when it arises.

Who was it said that making great art is taking advantage of the accidents?
I wouldn't say this was accidental exactly, but it sure is great art!
A piece to be proud of - if you'll forgive the final preposition.
Thank you Dave. I like this one a lot. Happy Easter to you.
Great Picture!! Yes those happy acidents are a beauty but you do need to be prepared for them.
Oh Boy!!!! It's beautiful. Love the colors.....
Good luck with an accident isn't enough. You clearly use an accident in art as an opportunity.
I think that's why I started water color and torn paper stuff. I had to let go of that absolute control thing and simply go with a vision and whatever "accidents" happen along the way.
This is a stunner.
