This weekend I felt that the yellow orchid I photographed last week had not finished telling her story. So I set the lights and camera up again and these shots are what I came away with. Quite happy I went back to this flower for a second look!

Just spectacular, Carl. The top one looks Japanese in composition, but tropical in color to me. I love that. The form of the branches captured me, as well as the form of the flowers.
Mine was in the pastels of purples and blues, but THIS. This one is just amazing.
Hi Jeannette - I think you are right. I knew the composition looked japanese, but felt it had a more modern color sense to it.
We have a similar bloom in a pot in the kitchen. Your wonderful images have sent me back to look at it anew, so thanks for that.
