our annual pilgrimage to cape Cod is my favorite week of the year... great friends, great food, fun, conversation, art and relaxation. The only thing to make it perfect would be an additional week there!
Count down T-Minus 6 days and counting! Getting paints and cameras all packed up today.... Funny Wenderina has her clothes packed. I am working on packing my art supplies.... We must really need this vacation.

Sounds like a great trip in the works. We just got back from a great trip to the North West Territories in northern Canada. I am sure you will have as good a time as we did.

Hope all goes perfectly for you. Like the image very much. How did you get so the detail on the bank in what must have been a low light situation?
Hi Dave - Thanks! I was able to get the detail thru the magic of high dynamic range software. I use HDR EFEX Pro by Nik Software. I start by taking a three exposure bracket (Normal, + 1.5 stops and -1.5 stops) and running all three thru the software which combines the best of the highlights and shadows and mids of the three images to create one image a digital sensor cannot normally capture. The trick with HDR is not going overboard with the end result or it looks totally fake. I like to use it to correct a limitation in the contrast range of the digital sensor, but you can really make some far out stuff as well.
