I found these guys munching on the berries from one of my trees the other day. They must have been migrating and stopped for lunch. there were 30-40 of them in one of my trees and on the driveway. After a little fuel and some rest they were on their way, but not before I was able to get these shots. The take away is always have a camera handy!

The speckled guy is a European Starling and the orange breasted bird is some type of Oriole I think.
I love the way you captured the light on the birds. I have trouble with that on flowers, especially with the yellows and reds!!
Thanks Wendy, It comes down to timing. I was able to shoot these with a zoom lens from an open window in my house.
Amazing and striking were the two words that popped into my head right away!
