Harriman State Park - Stonybrook

Today I went for a hike with my Mom in Harriman State Park along Stonybrook.  I intentionally started out a bit later than normal hoping to be able to capture some nice colored reflections in the stream.  I felt conditions were right for it.  We got there at just the right time.  Here are some of my shots.  Mom got some awesome shots too.  All in all a great morning out in the woods.

Keep Makin' Art!

Those middle two shots knocked me out. To see those greens still... the contrasts of texture, color. And the crisp clearness of the day.

Does your mom post her pictures on a blog, too?

Hi Jeannette - We are still pretty green and yellow down here... Add that to the clear light today with the sun a bit higher in the sky than I tend to shoot and Whammo! They were just what i was looking for when I headed out.

My mom started one, but has not posted to it in a while. I told her to post todays on Facebook. Will see if she does that.

I went back out to the same park to a different brook this afternoon. Those will be the post tomorrow.

Carl those pictures of the water are amazing. You can really make that camera sing. Great work.

Fantastic, as always. The shots are the tops and the reflections quite stunning.
