Back to Film...
Lafayette Theater
55 Lafayette Ave
The old station
Tattoo Parlour
The Station Master's Office
So where was I with my film project... Oh yeah I remember. I am spending the next year shooting on medium format (120 size film) black and white film. It took a few rolls for me to get my sea legs back under me and get good exposures. Now I am deciding on which cameras to use. All of these were from a recent outing in my town with my FUJI GW690 (6x9 rangefinder camera) I am thrilled with the tonality and feel the images are getting on film. I am getting closer to having something to print out. I may even experiment and print a few out at home and then send them to the lab.
There is a completely different rhythm to shooting on film. A slower and more thoughtful pace. I think this comes from only getting 8 frames per roll. I am just about ready to start photographing New York City on film. It is my plan to go into the city once a week to look for interesting places and people to photograph.
I also have a few rolls I shot on 6x4.5 film. They will have to wait until I finish getting prints printed and framed that I am hanging for a show on Saturday.

Hoboken Station - Black and White
I took these shots of a people waiting at the Hoboken Station waiting room about a month ago. Hoboken (and the train station) were under water from Hurricane Sandy. I hope this historic building with its Tiffany glass ceiling survived the storm. I will head down there again in a few weeks to see what things look like.
Taken with Fuji 6x4.5cm rangefinder camera on Ilford Delta 100 film.

More from Tuxedo Power Station
Two more images from Tuxedo power station. These were shot on my Fuji rangefinder camera. It makes 6x9cm (That's 2.25 x 3.25 inch negatives) the giant negatives coupled with the incredibly sharp lens on the camera make for a file I should be able to print almost 40 x 60 inches. I can't wait to do some tests and see how these look. The detail in the bricks and the background trees is really great.
More to come with this camera now that I have the exposure fairly dialed in. I want to wander new York City with this camera soon.

Old Tuxedo Power Station
shot with RB67 on on Ilford delta 100 Film
6x7cm Negative
Wonderful tonality! I really like this one. I should be able to get a 30x40" print out of this file. I can't wait to get it printed.

Safe and Sound
Hi Everyone!
We are safe and sound after the hurricane that came through New York and New Jersey on Monday and Tuesday. We lost power for a little while, but were really lucky compared to so many others in the area. I will have some new images to post in the next week or so, but for right now I won't be on the blog that much.
