A quick trip into the city tonight to do test shots for some night photos I would like to do from the top of Rockefeller Center. These turned out pretty good, but will not be useable for big prints. I wound up shooting at 1600 ISO and nearly wide open on the lens hand held. A small tripod will greatly improve the next series. Tripods are not strictly allowed, but I saw several people using small table top ones and they were not being hassled by the security folks. This is definitely a spot I would like to do some more series work at.
I ran out and grabbed these infrared shots this morning at Skylands before it got too hot out. I hope to take some photos tonight after I finish working at the gallery. Have an awesome weekend everyone
It has been a crazy busy month with so many things going on! I am happy I was able to get out at Skylands for an hour this morning and captures these Irises in the wildflower gardens. It was peaceful and great to be out with my camera for a little while.
Here are some photos of my stuff hanging up in the group show at Flywheel Gallery. This was great practice for my solo show in August on a smaller scale! I am looking forward to the big show in August. Invites will be going out soon.
I will be gallery sitting for this show for on Friday June 22nd from 5-9 and on Sunday June 24th from 1-6. If you are in the area stop in and say hi!
June 7th - June 24th 2012 - Group show put on by the artists of Piermont Flywheel Gallery.
All of the members of Flywheel Gallery are hanging in one show for the next three weeks. Come to the gallery to check out this unique collection of work from all of our talented artists. I am showing a series of new images taken of all cars I have found in my travels. They are all printed on canvas and look very striking hanging together.
