Waterfalling Part Four - a Few Final Images and Impressions

I think I am done reviewing the photos from this past weekend.  I hope you enjoyed seeing them as much as I enjoyed getting out into the woods and photographing them!  This time of year every stream and trail has something for me to see and shoot.  I realized the other day that I had photographed in 6 locations in the span of 8 days!  That was so much fun.  I will be getting out again for a little while this weekend I hope.  I have other things I have to take care of as well but hope for a bit of time on Sunday.  Soon it will be time to turn inward to the studio and really focus on painting again.  So you may see some of these images again re-incarnated as watercolors!  I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful season full of color before the snows of winter set in.

Keep Makin' Art!

You know, Carl, how much we appreciate that you share process as well as finished work with us. Your work with water IS one of the things that inspired me make the leap with collage and paint to explore rocks and water in my own fledgling work.

Enjoy your weekend and then your return indoors. Of course, your painting brings the outdoors in, but that's another subject!

And, by the way, your photograph has been "stolen" three times by different friends of mine. It's how we compliment each other. We steal stuff and hope the other won't notice.

Spectacular in the extreme. I think the bridge has it, but the second one is dizzying.

Hi Jeannette - Inspiration is contagious. I am glad you have gotten inspired by my work. Thanks for always taking the time to comment. I will take it as a real compliment that the photo has been 'stolen' so often.

Dave - Thank you. I agree that second one is quite a spot. Think os all that water and all that time needed to carve this wonder out of the landscape. Nature is the greatest artist.

I love seeing that amount of water in the Glen. It always leads to some beautiful photos!

Hi Vicki - yeah. The water was running strong and it lead to some good stuff.
