Community Photo Challenge - Landscape

This is my submission for the landscape challenge over at Community Photo Challenge.  It is a farm in Orange county New York shot in Infrared Black & White.  When you get out on the back roads there are some wonderful old farms to photograph.

Keep Makin' Art!

Stunning image Carl. almost like an oil painting. There's something so wonderfully stylised about it and to think it's 'real' Wonderful. May it get the recognition it deserves.

Thank you all! What I would not have given for a horse or a farmworker somewhere in the distance to really top off the story of this photo. Just as an aside the farm is on Purgatory Road.... 'The farm on Purgatory Road' I have the title now I just have to right the poem that goes with the story!

The LIGHTING. It looks the way some of the farms seemed to me in PA after a thunderstorm, when the sun BURST through. There is an unearthly glow. It's supernatural.. PURGATORY ROAD? perfect.

Oh, I hope, I hope, I hope.

We'll see Jeannette - Words are much tougher for me than images. Once a while a haiku for kicks... but I am going to have to force myself to put pen to paper. I am in awe of what you and Dave and My wife can do with the written word.

Thanks Marie - If you want some location tips just yell. Sometimes it is best to just wander across them though. Isn't it?
