Let It Snow... The Pictures

I set out on one of my favorite paths this morning that follows the course of a brook and changes elevation slowly. This gives you several small falls and pools in the brook as it meanders thru the rocks and trees. The only sound this morning was the rushing of water on rock. It was incredibly peaceful. The hike and the photos were exactly what I needed to recharge my batteries as we jump into 2011.

Today I will work on my best of post for 2011 and my goals for next year.

Keep Makin' Art!

Oh, I'm loving all that ice detail! Looks cold, but it sure is pretty!

Tremendous images, Carl, enjoyable both as natural shots and as abstracts. I'm salivating over them!

Thanks Victoria it was worth being in snow up to my knees. I am happy to report I did not fall into the brook which I have done a couple of times before.

Thanks Dave I am quite happy with this set.

Happy New year.

ha... yeah. I've ended up in the water a couple times. Not so bad in the summer, but the winter... I'll pass!

Yeah. I'll climb right in during the summer. I have nothing against taking off my shoes and wading out into the creek with my camera and tripod, once was enough in the winter. Luckily when it happened I was 10 minutes from home. Ever since then in winter i stay near the trail and use a longer lens. LOL.
