After years and years of shooting with every camera under the sun... I have learned it comes down to a few simple things. Pick a nice location or subject, plan for when the light will be right and get there then.. Do not try to force the light. It just does not work that way and get to the heart of the subject. Less complicated compositions with color harmony work so much better than when there is too much going on.
