More Orchids

I must say... I think I had a pretty good haul... Caught 24 really nice images in a couple of hours wandering thru the show.  It goes until mid April.  I may even go back and force myself to slow down dust a little bit.  We'll see if i have the time to get back there.

More Orchid Show Photos

Once again this year I have blown away by the variety and color of the flowers at the NYBG Orchid Show.  It is well worth the wait.  The show comes at the perfect time.  Even in the mild winter I am ready for some color to remind me Spring is almost here.

New York Botanical Garden - Orchid Show

My Mom and I went to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden today.  We had a grand time wandering around the displays.  There were so many varieties of orchids to see.  Ii could not keep track of them all.  just started editing the pictures now.  Here are the first few. I will be editing more over the next few days.  If you are in the NY area I highly recommend the show.

Back to the Orchid...

This weekend I felt that the yellow orchid I photographed last week had not finished telling her story.  So I set the lights and camera up again and these shots are what I came away with.  Quite happy I went back to this flower for a second look!

Orchid Studies...

I turned my Kitchen into a studio again tonight to photograph this Orchid I saw.  I just loved the colors and decided it needed to be photographed.

Orchid

I was totally inspired by this purple orchid I saw while I was in the grocery store tonight.  I had to break out my macro lens and lights as soon as I got home.  Inspiration can strike lightning sometimes and usually leads to even more inspiration.
