Beautiful! I have a couple that come to my yard but I can't get close enough to get a good picture. I had to stop feeding them, too many cats go across my lawn with birds :( Can't wait to see your painting of the cardinal :)
Glad you are finally completely better, Carl! Great idea to frame some of these shots. What is it about a cardinal in winter? February and March are so monochromatic, and nothing seems fresh--except a male cardinal!
At this point I think I will pick the three best cardinal shots and frame them with three five ny sevens in one mat and frame.

I always love to see cardinals in the winter. The little shot of red is always so cheerful!
