Drawing, background and first wash of the apples is down. I am working on hot press paper today.... not quite used to it, but think I'll get a nice painting out of it. Will darken the background, add shadows and refine apples next. Stay tuned.

Coming along nicely. hot press takes a bit of getting used to.. how do you find it ?
ReplyDeleteI prefer cold press and / or rough. No time to play with hot press. The painting actually came out pretty good with with the help of a little colored pencil and some acrylic white, but I want to try it again on 300lb coldpress. I really got spoiled by that paper.
